Fal River Links Launched!
Cornwall County Council, the National Trust and boat operators on the river Fal, have teamed up to create the exciting new Fal River Links project which links independent ferry services to tourist attractions in and around the river Fal. The main aim of the project is to promote car free days out in order to reduce congestion and make Cornwall a more attractive place to visit. Amongst the attractions included in the project are the National Trust’s Trelissick Gardens, Pendennis Castle at Pendennis Point and numerous eating and drinking establishments around the beautiful Fal estuary. The project was launched on the 28th May 2004 at Ponsharden landing bay, the same day as the innovative ‘Park and Float’ scheme began for the 2004 summer season.
